We will honor those who came before us by cleaning up around the individual graves and cleaning headstones in two of the oldest African American cemeteries in Florida.
❤️ Please help us spread the word about this cleanup event so we can make a bigger difference at the historic cemeteries. Even if you cannot attend, sharing this flyer is a great help.
What to expect:
☆ We will be cleaning up around the individual graves.
☆ We will be cleaning headstones with a special solution.
☆ We will be weeding, removing storm debris, and cutting overgrown vegetation.
☆ Family-friendly event
☆ If possible, please bring gloves, gardening tools such as clippers, cutters, weed trimmers, rakes, etc.
☆ After the event, all volunteers are invited to a community bbq with great southern cooking and more provided by members and friends of the West Augustine Improvement Association.
