We would like to invite all of you to come join us at some amazing community events this spring. 

We are humbled by the continuous turnout and support from the community with people supporting us and showing up from all over St. Augustine, St. Johns County, Jacksonville, other Florida counties and even other states.

🌎 Join us for the annual Earth Day, Every Day clean up in St. Augustine. 

Date: April 21, 2024 

Time: 1 - 3 pm 

Location: We will be setting up and starting up at the big woodchip pile on Bruen Street (Across from 971 Bruen Street) but parking will be at 591 North Orange Street right around the corner. 

What to bring: Boots, gloves and/or grabbers Please share and get the word around for this amazing event for Earth Day in St. Augustine. 

There will be plant giveaways and more.

St. Augustine Cemetery Cleanup

St. Augustine Cemetery Cleanup

Come be a part of the Pinehurst & San Sebastian Cemeteries 6th Restoration Day.


Date: Saturday, May 4th, 2024 

Time: 8 am - 12 noon

Location: 711 Pearl Street, St. Augustine 

Family-friendly event 

☆ Bring gloves, gardening tools, clippers, cutters, weed trimmers, spray bottles, rakes, etc. 

🫱🏾‍🫲🏻 Help us clean up and restore 2 of the oldest African American cemeteries in Florida. 

After the event, we'd like to invite everyone to join us for good southern cooking courtesy of WAIA & ice cream from Ben & Jerry's St. Augustine.  

It's a special day you won't forget. Bring your friends and family and come be a part of a community of changemakers honoring those who came before us.

We are very excited to be joining the St. Augustine History Festival this year as part of their new Historic Cemeteries category.

WAIA will be offering a historic walking tour of both Pinehurst and San Sebastian Cemeteries.

Date: Saturday, May 11th, 2024 

Time: 10 am - 2 pm

Location: 711 Pearl Street, St. Augustine 

Come out and learn about the remarkable lives of some of those laid to rest here, and be sure to check out all of the other amazing venues participating in the History Festival!

Coming up...the Fall Pinehurst and San Sebastian Cemeteries Restoration event + headstones reveal ceremony is set for October 19th, 2024 from 8 am - 12 noon.

The MLK Day 2025 Community and Cemeteries Cleanup is scheduled for Monday January 20th, 2025 from 8 am - 11:30 am.

  • Have a skill that might be useful? Send us an email to westaugimptassoc@gmail.com. Whether you are a landscaper, lawyer, videographer, a baker, or something else, think of how you might be able to help the cemeteries and our mission to restore them.
  • Have connections? Know someone in the media or perhaps someone who could donate equipment and tools or perhaps donate treats for our volunteers at events?

We are always grateful for any kind of help whether it is time, skills, equipment, or monetary donations. No gift is too big or too small. We are small non-profit organization run by volunteers, and we need all the help we can get to carry out our mission of improving the cemeteries, the community, and bringing people together.
