The West Augustine Improvement Association is looking for a volunteer Social Media Intern.
This St. Augustine internship mainly consists of managing a student Instagram account for WAIA to support our main social media accounts and to help our organization founded in 1956 reach a younger audience in St. Augustine when communicating about events such as community cleanups, cemetery cleanups, and community events.
We will provide training, and the tasks involved can easily be done at home from the student's own phone.
We are looking for a trustworthy St. Johns County high school or college student with drive, passion, a creative spirit, and some social media savvy, who would benefit from the skills and experience gained through this opportunity.
West Augustine Improvement Association Social Media Internship - (Unpaid)
The West Augustine Improvement Association, a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in St. Augustine, FL, is seeking a volunteer Social Media Intern to contribute to their mission of improving the West Augustine community and restoring two of the oldest African American cemeteries in Florida.
Social Media Internship Description
- Content Creation: Develop engaging and impactful content for various social media platforms that align with WAIA's mission.
- Campaign Management: Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring social media campaigns to promote awareness, community engagement, and fundraising initiatives.
- Community Engagement: Interact with the online student community through a WAIA Student Social Media account, respond to inquiries, and foster positive relationships with followers to enhance our organization's online presence among the youth in St. Johns County.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns, identify trends, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the WAIA Social Media Manager to align social media efforts with broader organizational strategies.
Intern Skills Preferred:
- Passion for the Mission: Demonstrate a genuine commitment to WAIA's mission of promoting positive community engagement.
- Social Media Savvy: Knowledge in using various social media platforms, understanding trends, and staying updated on industry best practices.
- Creativity: Ability to think creatively and generate innovative content ideas to engage diverse audiences.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with social media management tools and basic graphic design skills are a plus.
